Is it possible to combine technological innovation, manufacturing excellence and deep respect for the environment? Sustainability has become a global imperative, and we have focused significant attention on environmental responsibility as one of our constant priorities.
Reducing our environmental impact: a path of continuous evolution
Our site, which covers an area of over 8,000 m², has undergone a radical transformation over the years. From a small production facility with a mostly manual process, we have become an almost fully automated company, able to produce electronic components in high volumes while maintaining the highest level of quality. Over the years, we have dedicated ourselves to significantly reducing the environmental impact of our production processes, with the constant ambition of minimising it as much as possible.
By expanding our production area, we have been able to completely rethink our processes in a sustainable way. We have improved the environmental-climatic control of production with the increase of testing and research and development facilities, in order to
- Reduce production waste through more precise and controlled processes
- Optimise raw material utilisation
- Implement material recovery and recycling systems
- Minimise emissions into the environment
Automation means efficiency but also sustainability
The complete automation of our processes not only ensures high quality standards, but also contributes significantly to a reduced environmental impact through
- Accuracy and process repeatability that reduce waste
- Optimisation of energy consumption
- Reduction of errors and, therefore, of non-conforming products
- Greater efficiency in the use of resources
Certified sustainability
ICEL S.r.l.'s quality management system is certified according to ISO 9001:2015, but our commitment goes further. ICEL S.r.l.'s products are manufactured in strict compliance with international regulations such as:
- REACH: guarantees that our products do not contain hazardous chemicals
- RoHS: certifies the absence of harmful substances such as lead, mercury, cadmium
- CRT and CMRT: ensure traceability of minerals and absence of conflict minerals
- TSCA: compliance with US environmental regulations
- Etc. more details are available in the dedicated section of our website, here
Choosing safe materials
Our priority has always been to use safe materials, chosen in such a way that they have the least possible impact on human health, the environment and the entire ecosystem along the entire production chain. We have always chosen to use the least hazardous and least toxic substances possible, as opposed to others, although on paper these were advantageous from a performance and economic perspective. We recognise, however, that some substances in use carry inherent risks if used or handled improperly. For this reason, we ensure timely and thorough training for all personnel, provide appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and make all necessary documentation, such as safety data sheets, available at all times.
Commitment to the Future
Sustainability for ICEL is not a goal, but a path of continuous improvement. Our goals for the future include:
- Further reducing the environmental impact of production processes
- Evaluation of the implementation of an ISO 14001 certified environmental management system
- Greater involvement of the supply chain in sustainable practices
- Continued investment in technologies that also reduce energy consumption
Conclusion: components for a sustainable world
Our capacitors are not only high-quality electronic components, but are key elements in the global energy transition, supporting energy efficiency, renewable energy and electric mobility.
Every capacitor we produce is designed to last, to be efficient and to contribute to systems that reduce the overall environmental impact.
Our vision is clear: to be not only a capacitor manufacturer, but a technology partner for a greener world, where energy is used intelligently and efficiently.
And the ICEL third champion is the heroine of Sustainability: sustainability requires commitment, resolution and intelligence: here muscles are note needed.
